This is a reproduction of a late medieval crowsbeak war hammer, forged by hand from steel. One side of the head is a hammer face and the other is a pointed beak, the pattern that came into use as plate armour developed. The haft is hexagonal steel, which keeps it rigid and gives it a strong, angular look.
The grip is wrapped in leather and has a guard for the hand. It comes with a genuine leather beak cover, so the point stays covered when it's on the rack or in a kit bag.
It weighs 1.15 kg and measures 54 × 18 × 6 cm. Because each one comes off the anvil by hand, you can expect slight differences in shape and finish from piece to piece. That's the work of the forge, not a fault.
The steel is left in a natural finish. Keep it dry and lightly oiled, wipe it down after handling, and store it somewhere free of damp. Give the grip and the beak cover a little leather conditioner now and then so they don't crack.
