Forged for the rigorous demands of the field, this leg harness takes its historical form from the famed armour of the young Charles VI of France, preserved in Chartres. Ideal for campaigns across the Hundred Years War and the mud of Agincourt, it is meticulously handcrafted from durable 16 gauge mild steel. This thickness provides dependable protection for living history reenactors and LARP combatants while preserving the distinct, refined lines of 14th-century armoury.

The plates incorporate prominent knee wings designed to shield vulnerable joints against glancing strikes. Movement on the march or in the press requires proper strapping, and this harness is anchored with robust, genuine buff leather straps to ensure a secure, unyielding fit around the limb. Across the plates, the upper end spans roughly 19 cm wide, tapering cleanly to 12.5 cm at the base, with an overall length of approximately 19.2 cm. The entire assembly weighs around 4 kg 790 grams, lending a grounded, authentic heft without unnecessarily encumbering the wearer.

Straight from the workbench, your harness arrives treated with a film of protective oil to ward off moisture and corrosion in transit. Before strapping it on for muster, take a clean dry cloth or light solvent to wipe away this temporary grease, exposing the natural sheen of polished steel underneath.
