Medieval Right-Hand Leather Rapier & Sword Frog

£16.33

Handcrafted from stout 3 to 3.3 mm genuine hide, this right-handed sword frog is built to keep your blade secure upon the march or during fierce stage combat. Reinforced with antiqued brass rivets and sized for belts up to two inches wide, it provides reliable carriage and a swift draw for ruffians, knights, and noble bladesmen alike.

SKU: 26202-Parent Categories: ,

"A proper sword frog must hold your steel tight at the hip whilst granting clean passage when steel must clear leather without hesitation." Osric, Keeper of the Hearth & Forge

Crafted for right-handed carriage, this belt frog is cut from 100% genuine leather measuring a substantial 3 to 3.3 mm in thickness. Sturdy antiqued brass rivets bind the construction, offering the resilience required for stage combat, LARP skirmishes, and rigorous historical gatherings. Designed to accommodate belts up to two inches in width, the scabbard loop seats a wide variety of blades firmly at your side, ensuring swift, unhindered access whether portraying a knight, a duellist, or a court noble.

Because every frog is fashioned by hand from genuine hides, slight individual variations in the stitching, dye tone, and grain are natural hallmarks of traditional craft. With regular campaigning, the leather will gracefully age and develop a handsome, weathered patina distinctive to your kit.

To preserve the hide throughout long seasons of muster, shield it from prolonged exposure to wet weather. Wipe away mud and sweat with a clean, dry cloth after every engagement, treating stubborn marks with a damp rag and mild soap. An occasional rub of leather conditioner will keep the grain supple and resilient against cracking. When out of service, store this carrier in a cool, shaded armourie clear of damp and direct sunlight.
